For my first collegiate directing experience, I was asked to helm NCC’s mainstage production of Suburbia. So that I could utilize the broad range of ethnic diversity at NCC, I chose to modify the script to allow for the casting of black actors in my male lead roles. The show was successful and reflected the demographics of the NCC student body.
